The Ordinary Retinol 1% in Squalane is a water-free serum formulated with 1% retinol to target advanced signs of ageing, uneven skin tone and textural irregularities. Retinol helps improve the appearance of fine lines associated with collagen and elastin loss while promoting a smoother, more even-looking complexion. Squalane provides nourishing moisture to help the skin better withstand the drying effects of retinol.

How to Use

Apply a small amount to the face in the PM, after water-based serums and before heavier creams or moisturizers. Start gradually and build tolerance over time.

The Ordinary recommends starting with Retinol 0.2% in Squalane and progressing to Retinol 0.5% in Squalane before using the 1% formula.

Do not use with other retinoids, including retinol or retinoic acid. Retinoids can increase sensitivity to UV radiation, so use sun protection during the day. Avoid use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Once opened, refrigerate and use within 3 months.
